The use of green screen in movies and television has been widely used in the entertainment industry. With this technique, one can do shoots or take photos by just inserting a background of any place that the director wants.

A person can go to places that he has never went, bring in situations and places, can make his fantasy come true with the help of this technique. This technique is very common in televisions.
One avenue that the green screen has always been used is during weather forecasts. The news always shows the weather girl/guy standing in front of what looks like the real globe and speaking about the different weather conditions around the world. But in actuality, there is only a green screen in the background and then the animation is inserted to the background itself. This technique has always been used by a lot of the television channels for weather forecasting.
This technique is very simple, all a person needs is a camera, a green screen and video editing software. The person has to make sure that the color is the same throughout without even a small change in the shade of the color. The surface should be very even while taping else it will be very difficult to edit that part. Another important point while using this technique is that the subject should contain a little of the green color. A very small portion of the subject can be green or in similar shades. When the subject contains a small portion of green, one can hide or minimize the impact of the edges that might appear if the edges are uneven or not uniform. The major part of the subject should not contain the same color. Else, when it is edited it will appear as if there is a hole or an empty space on the subject.
The appropriate lighting is also very much important when the method of green screen is used. Right when the screen is built, the next step is to make sure to shoot the subject. To get perfect results at all times, the subject should definitely have well executed lines so that it will be much easier to crop the subject and insert it in the new background. There shouldn’t be any loose edges on the subject at all. In addition, the lighting should also be very perfect as well, the camera in turn should have its full concentration on the background of the subject. This is a very significant and crucial part because the subject may look vague when editing starts. Shooting outdoors works best with this technique.
